BREWERTON, NY...This coming Friday night July 30 Waterfront/Calypso Cay Restaurants out of Brewerton will
present military Appreciation Night. Anyone with a Military I.D will be admitted free to the speedway in
appreciation for those men and woman who protect our freedoms here at home and abroad. On the race card will
be the DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, IMCA Empire State Modified Series, NAPA Late Models, Beaver River
Distribution Mod Lites and Four-Cylinder Super Stocks. All those 18 years old and younger will be admitted
free grandstand admission. Race time is set for 7:30 at the “D-Shaped Dirt Demon.”
Two of the hottest Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series drivers lead the charge at Brewerton Speedway in
Jimmy Phelps and Matt Sheppard. Other series regulars like Billy Decker, Ryan Phelps, Michael Storms, Larry
Wight and Rich Scagliotta make every Friday night like a series race. Throw in Pat Ward, Alan Johnson, Willy
Decker , Jim Witko and others makes Brewerton Speedway one of the toughest weekly Modified fields anywhere in
the Northeast.
Dale Caswell leads the way in the competitive NAPA Late Models where winners have often come down to the
checkers. A weekly field of around 30 Beaver River Distribution Mod Lites, thrill the fans, with two, three
and sometimes four wide racing. Chuck Powelczyk and Stephen Denton star in the highly competitive Four-
Cylinder Super Stocks.
Dale Caswell, Kevan Cook, Rob Keller, Josh Van Tassell and Mike Smith will be looking to defend their home
turf when the Empire State IMCA Modified Series invades the Speedway Friday night.
