After on and off rain showers all day Friday in the area, the Brewerton Speedway track crew didn’t give up giving the racers a super tacky race surface Friday night. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other ideas as rain and lightning moved in on lap 15 of the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified Feature ending the night.
This coming Friday night, June 3rd will be the completion of the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified Feature with Alan Johnson leading. The Sportsman will run their feature before going into a complete racing program. The makeup Beaver River Distribution ESDCA Mod Lite and Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modified features will be announced soon.
The one feature that was able to be run on Metalico night was the Metalico Four-Cylinder Super Stocks. Stephen Denton continued his domination of the class winning his sixth feature in a row.
Highlighting the race card June 3rd will be the Dean Hubbs Memorial for the IMCA Modifieds presented by Nationwide Insurance. Nationwide Insurance will have giveaways throughout night for the fans.
There will also be a chance to meet racing heroes of the past as it will also be Old-Timers night. It will be a chance for fans to relive the past that they remember and for young fans to learn the history that helped forge racing into what it is today.
Kids, this will be your chance to show your work as there will be a kid’s poster contest during the night.
Gates will open Friday, May 27th at 5:30 with racing starting at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission will be $12 with everyone 18 years old and younger admitted free to the grandstand.
